Greenscene No.1 is an outdoor artwork by Kirsty Nixon that evokes the lush serenity of Aotearoa’s native bush. A solitary Tūī, poised and watchful, is nestled among the sculptural foliage of Tī Kōuka (Cabbage Tree), Nīkau Palm, Pōhutukawa, and the soft-textured leaves of Rangiora. Through breaks in the canopy, vivid flashes of aqua blue hint at a coastline just beyond—inviting the viewer to pause and imagine the wider world that lies outside the frame.
